Sour Cherry Spread Cake with Bourbon Whipped Cream

Nobody has to know you didn’t bake the cake. And besides, all they’ll be paying attention to is the sweet and tart Divina Sour Cherry Spread with a homemade bourbon whipped cream! This is a perfect summer dessert to bring to a block party or BBQ. 

INGREDIENTS

1 store-made pound cake
1 jar Sour Cherry Spread
1 cup heavy cream, chilled
1 tbsp bourbon
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Beat cream, bourbon, sugar, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until the cream is softly whipped.
    2. Slice a store-made pound cake and layer with a spoonful of cherry spread.
    3. Top with bourbon whipped cream and serve. (We told you it was simple!)
