This sangria is bursting with juicy cherries, fresh citrus and a homemade simple syrup made with Divina Sour Cherry Spread.
INGREDIENTS
2 c pitted cherries, halved
1 c water
1 lime, thinly slice
750ml white wine (like Pinot Grigio)
¼ c Divina Sour Cherry Spread (for simple syrup)
3 oz sparkling water
INSTRUCTIONS
- Make the Sour Cherry simple syrup: using a small pan combine equal parts water and Sour Cherry Spread. Heat over medium-high until the liquid begins to boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and let cook until reduced by half. Let syrup completely cool before using.
- Toss the halved cherries and lime slices into a large pitcher, then add the bottle of white wine.
- Stir the cooled sour cherry simple syrup into the pitcher.
- Chill the sangria in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice and top each glass with a splash of sparkling water.
