Peanut Butter & Sour Cherry French Toast

Made with brioche, creamy peanut butter and Divina Sour Cherry Spread, this French toast is an easy brunch recipe packed with sweet, fruity flavor.

INGREDIENTS

4 large eggs, room temperature
1 ¼ c whole milk
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon (adjust to taste)
⅛ tsp kosher salt
2 slices brioche bread
2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
2 tsp Divina Sour Cherry Spread

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS

Maple syrup
Fresh fruit

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat a greased griddle or skillet to 350°F to 375°F.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt until smooth.
  3. Spread peanut butter on one slice of brioche and Divina Sour Cherry Spread on the other an press together to form a sandwich.
  4. Dip the sandwich into the custard mixture, coating both sides (make sure not to soak).
  5. Place on the hot griddle and cook for 2 to 4 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.
  6. Serve warm with maple syrup or fresh fruit.
