Made with brioche, creamy peanut butter and Divina Sour Cherry Spread, this French toast is an easy brunch recipe packed with sweet, fruity flavor.
INGREDIENTS
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 ¼ c whole milk
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon (adjust to taste)
⅛ tsp kosher salt
2 slices brioche bread
2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
2 tsp Divina Sour Cherry Spread
OPTIONAL TOPPINGS
Maple syrup
Fresh fruit
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat a greased griddle or skillet to 350°F to 375°F.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt until smooth.
- Spread peanut butter on one slice of brioche and Divina Sour Cherry Spread on the other an press together to form a sandwich.
- Dip the sandwich into the custard mixture, coating both sides (make sure not to soak).
- Place on the hot griddle and cook for 2 to 4 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.
- Serve warm with maple syrup or fresh fruit.
