Responsible Planting & Harvesting Practices
Only handheld equipment is used to harvest and prune trees.
No modern, heavy machinery is used as this compacts the soil and increases the risk of soil erosion. We do not approve of farms that utilize this technology.
Minimize Chemical Inputs
Pest monitoring is done with pest traps. Organic pesticides are sprayed only if an infestation is detected, and only affected trees are sprayed.
Pesticides are only sprayed at dusk or dawn to protect pollinators.
Responsible Water Management
Drip irrigation waters plants directly at the root and only as needed based on rain events and soil moisture.
