These Greek Gyro Nachos are a bold, satisfying twist on a classic snack, topped with seasoned lamb, fresh veggies and our Marinated Feta & Olives for a Mediterranean flavor explosion.
INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground lamb
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ medium yellow onion
2 tsp dried oregano (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
12 oz pita chips
6 oz crumbled feta cheese
1 c diced tomatoes
1 c shredded lettuce
½ c diced cucumbers
½ c Divina Marinated Feta & Olives
½ c red onion
½ c Tzatziki, for drizzling
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the lamb with garlic, onion, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir occasionally until the lamb is browned and the onions are soft, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Arrange pita chips on a baking sheet and top with the lamb mixture and all but ¼ cup of the feta cheese.
- Bake for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the feta is lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and top with tzatziki, diced tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, Divina Marinated Feta & Olives, red onion and the reserved feta.
- Serve immediately while warm and crispy.
